The shower toggle helps secure the cover (so it can't rotate), but the cover would likely still fit without it.

It should fit just fine, the whales fins tighten on the side, to adjust it however you need, it so easy to take on and off, and very easy to clean, so no mold! :)

Yes it will definitely fit. The whale has a slit on top for the shower toggle but it would work for regular spout as well. If you don't mind that slit on top it will work great. It's so cute and it took literally 5 seconds to install. I recommend this! We love it!

The bath spout cover should work with most bath spouts, even those that do not have a shower diverter. An adjustable strap helps to ensure a snug fit.
