The Baby Bargains book lists it as being manufactured by El Greco here in the US. LON cribs got a very good rating for safety, qualtiy and customer service...only downfall in the rating was the price. It is not a drop side...the sides are permanently up (which is listed as safer now-a-days.)

The space between the slats of the Sleigh Crib measures 49mm (1 59/64"). Safety guidelines state that slats should be no more than 2 3/8" apart.

The Sleigh Crib is not JPMA certified, but it has been safety tested and meets or exceeds all applicable US safety regulations.

The measurement from the lowest setting on the mattress platform to the top of the side rail is 24", without a mattress. Once you add a mattress, this measurement will decrease accordingly (usually by about 6" or so).
